The Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) have released the 2019 Student Experience Survey (SES) National Report and results. For the 4th year in a row, JMI has been rated among the top tertiary institutions in the country.
In fact, the data collected in 2019 rated JMI as the #1 Institution in Australia for Quality of Entire Educational Experience!
JMI also received above average results for other SES Categories within the survey. These categories are Teaching Quality, Learner Engagement, Student Support, and Skills Development. This data has been compared to 101 participating universities and non-university higher education institutions.

The SES is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment and has been administered by the Social Research Centre since 2015.
The SES is the only comprehensive survey of current higher education students in Australia. Around 180,000 undergraduate students and 83,000 postgraduate coursework students from Australian universities and non-university higher education institutions (NUHEIs) participated in the 2019 SES. The survey collects information that helps both higher education institutions and the government improve teaching and learning outcomes, and reports on multiple facets of the student experience.
