The Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) have released the 2020-2021 Student Experience Survey (SES) National Report and results. For the 5th year in a row, JMI has been rated among the top tertiary institutions in the country.
In fact, the data collected in 2020-2021 rated JMI as the #1 Institution in Queensland to study Music & Creative Arts!
JMI also received above national average results for ALL SES categories within the survey. These categories are Teaching Quality, Learner Engagement, Student Support, and Skills Development. This data has been compared to 139 participating universities and non-university higher education institutions.
Below are the results from the QILT 2020-2021 SES (this data is publicly available at www.qilt.edu.au). To compare JMI’s results with other institutions across Australia, you can head to https://www.compared.edu.au/.
The SES is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment and has been administered by the Social Research Centre since 2015.
The SES is the only comprehensive survey of current higher education students in Australia. Over 250,000 students from Australian universities and non-university higher education institutions (NUHEIs) participated in the 2020-2021 SES. The survey collects information that helps both higher education institutions and the government improve teaching and learning outcomes, and reports on multiple facets of the student experience.
This is a milestone achievement for us here at JMI. We are incredibly proud of these results and thankful to all our brilliant and hardworking faculty that provide such a high level of tuition and support to our students. We only aim to improve these statistics further in the future.
