Dominic Brennan is a Brisbane-based Pianist and composer who graduated from JMI in 2023. Growing up in Charters Towers and Toowoomba, he discovered his love of music at an early age.
Since moving to Brisbane in 2021, Dominic has immersed himself in Brisbane’s jazz landscape, playing with a range of small ensembles and big bands (QYO big band and JMI jazz orchestra). His playing style is heavily inspired by Oscar Petersen, Red Garland and Chick Corea. As a composer, his style is constantly evolving, but firmly rooted and influenced by Duke Ellington.
The Dominic Brennan Quintet invites you along to be in the room with them as they share with you an evening of original music written by members of the band.

Tickets are being sold through Humanitix. Purchase limited seated tickets here. Due to JMI Live being an intimate space, we have a maximum number of guests allowed in the venue. We highly recommend it is best to get in early before tickets sell out.

Ticket Refund Policy
If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms and are unable to attend after having purchased a ticket, please contact the JMI office (07 3216 1110 or email play@jazz.qld.edu.au) as soon as possible during business hours (10AM-4PM) to let us know you won’t be able to attend. A full refund will be given if we are contacted prior to a performance. Refunds will not be processed if we are contacted after the gig.
